Ischemic heart disease or cardiac ischemia is a disease where plaque and fatty matter lead the inside of the artery to be narrowing until the artery cannot supply oxygen-rich blood in the proper amount to fulfill the heart’s needs. The other symptoms are clammy skin, nausea and sometimes with vomiting and sometimes not, the feel of pain in your neck or jaw, tachypnea and pain in your shoulder or arm.
These symptoms can be relieved by rest or medicine. The pain will start in the chest and spread to the arms, back and any other areas. In women, the symptoms might feel like gas or indigestion. The symptoms usually last for short time and occur repeatedly.

The decrease of blood that flows to your heart is what causing the ischemic heart disease. This disease may develop slowly but if an artery suddenly blocked, the disease will occur quickly. Because of that, people with atherosclerosis, blood clots, coronary artery spasm, and any other illness will occur to ischemic heart disease frequently.
The Risks Factor for Ischemic Heart Disease
There are a lot of risk factors that can increase the development of the ischemic heart disease. For the record, not everyone with the risk factors will get this disease. You’ll get ischemic heart disease if you are having diabetes, have a heart disease in your family history, your blood cholesterol is high, and your blood pressure and blood triglycerides are high too. If you having an obesity problem, smoking and lack of physical activity, you might get this disease since that are also the risk factors for this disease.
To lower your risk of this disease there are several things that you could do such as carefully managing your diabetes if you have one, do regular physical activities, keep your blood pressure at a normal level, stop smoking and maintain your cholesterol at a healthy level.

The first thing to do to treat this ischemic heart disease is by seeking a medical care from your health care provider who is going to ask you several questions to determine whether you have an ischemic heart disease or not. Then you’ll be asked to do some diagnostic tests. If you are having this disease, you’ll get drug therapy which is used to treat this disease.
